Although we had experienced two earthquakes, a tsunami warning and Sahara dust in May, we were happy to visit Elounda again in September. This time the weather was more settled and I managed to have three lovely swims in the sea.
As usual we met up with our friends in Kastelli and had a very enjoyable lunch in the local taverna.  I was delighted when I met Manos in Dimitris's Steak House. Manos is the cover photo of 'Tassos' and now lives and works in Athens most of the year. Lilian and I walked across the Causeway and then the sand spit to reach Paradisos taverna and returned a second time as the meal was so delicious.
The first week I was there I seemed to develop a cough that became progressively worse, particularly at night. I realised it was an 'allergy' and finally tracked it down to a feather pillow. I did not know that I needed to add feathers to my list of allergies!
Once back home I had the usual amount of work to catch up on and I had no inclination to write as my typesetter had retired. I had some long chats with Jason, my computer man, and we agreed that I would write a book to be Print on Demand at Amazon and available on Kindle. This encouraged me to return to writing and I am hoping that  I will have completed 'Lukas' by Easter.
Jason then suggested that he converted all my books into audio versions. I decided this was an excellent idea. It has meant a tremendous amount of work for Jason and has been very time consuming for me. I have to listen and read it through, correcting the pronunciation of all the Greek names. At present I have one book that is nearly ready.
Things did not go smoothly, of course. My computer screen froze one morning and there was nothing I could do to clear it. After a panic call to Jason, he spent the whole afternoon checking all my files until it finally said that my computer was clean. It had been infected by a virus.
Lilian and I are looking forward to visiting Elounda and staying at Milos again in June.
